Our Culture Journey


Hilti Team Members Cheering Each Other On


The purpose of this system is to facilitate the process of Hilti Team Members "Cheering Each Other On" within the third principle of Our Culture Journey. Our Culture Journey consists of several components. The first component of OCJ is Reward and Recognition tickets. We provide our team members four OCJ R&R tickets on an annual basis. Team members recognize each other with these tickets to reinforce the principle of "Encouraging Each Other & Recognizing Results". These tickets can be used anytime. Recipients of these tickets can redeem them for special gifts at our OCJ R&R store located at our Corporate Headquarters in Tulsa, OK. This process is also designed to spontaneously recognize team progress and performance whereby we surprise a team in action with prizes and food and "Cheer" them for their progress.

Raving Fan Recognition


Another component of Our Culture Journey is the Raving Fan Recognition Process. This area is designed to catch team members individually and collectively providing Raving Fan Service with our customers. More specifically, nominations are submitted from internal or external customers and team members are selected accordingly based on Raving Fan criteria. Recipients of this form of recognition receive:

  • 5 OCJ R&R tickets
  • Raving fans certificate
  • Their picture taken for our Hall of Fame with a mention in our Dialogue newsletter
  • A special award luncheon with the Executive Team Members
  • Corporate team members get their picture taken at the luncheon to put on our Hall of Fame
  • A day off with pay. Sales team members receive a $50 gift certificate in lieu of a day off with pay.

Annual Leadership Awards


To foster Our Culture Journey with outstanding leadership, we have the prestigious Annual Leadership Awards. This is a peer based nomination process. Team members are nominated and selected based on: Living the principles of "Our Culture Journey"; living our core values; and sharing Situational Leadership II with team members to generate Raving Fan Service. The OCJ team with the Executive Team determines the recipients of this award. The recipients (along with their spouse or significant other) are invited on an all expense paid incentive trip with our President/CEO. In addition, the recipients will receive our beautiful Globe Award, a certificate of recognition, a spread in our newsletter, and their picture taken for our Hall of Fame. Finalists for this award receive an appreciation award with OCJ R&R tickets. Nominators will receive a recognition certificate and OCJ R&R tickets for their cheering efforts. Team members that are Director level, VP level, and President level are not eligible for this award. OCJ R&R team members are also ineligible. The reason being, is that our primary role is living and facilitating shared leadership.
